Honor your Father and Mother so that your days may be long! The commandment is clear. No backdoors are visible. No alternative renderings take away from the sentiment that my father is perfect. Without him I do not exist. Without him making the perfect decision to go into my beloved mother at the perfect time I do not exist. Every decision
that he made has led to my emergence from his seed and from her womb. The mortal world may attempt to judge him based upon their unequal weights and measures, but I do not waver, for I know that that is the method of the serpent, to attempt to get those set apart to be common, first by getting sons to doubt the perfection of their fathers. I am created in his image and likeness; a son of Elohiym through Adam through Abraham through Yisrael through Judah through Abbiy. They are all perfect from beginning to end. One day The Chief Elder told the men – “We are not authorized to be in our feelings to judge our fathers!” I have always been my harshest critic, but those words hit me like a ton of bricks, because at some point we all have to face the murmurs about our fathers in a world that seeks to cut them off. These weak, uncovered, miserable, unauthoritative voices retold in mainstream and even familiar voices must be resisted. In fact, we must display through unwavering obedience that the “devil” is indeed a “liar” and has no power except that which we allow it to have. I am grateful for wise ones in my environment that hold us (and themselves) accountable to the ancient standards. My Creator is perfect - and so are those that are his! The best way to honor HIM is by recognizing the heaviness of the position and words of those that HE has brought us through...so that our days may be long!
