And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage. Shmoth/Exodus 6:9
Mosheh/Moses faees a dilemma. He goes to his people to share a message from above - but they genuinely cannot act on his words. The way the writers frame it clues us in on a nugget; namely, that it's not Mosheh's delivery that is rejected, but rather, the people's situation which prevents them from even having the capacity at that moment to move on what he's suggesting.
I assert that these same conditions - in the times we're in now - also delay our people as a collective from hearkening. I touched on this a bit in yesterday's post and I promise to do a bit more of a dive into these "conditions" in upcoming posts.
Stay tuned!
Peace be to you. Peace be to your house. And peace be unto all that is yours! Shalom Shalom!
